So I was trying out the Find a time feature in Google Calendar and I’m just wondering why Google isn’t catching stuff like this.
So I click get started and then this little modal window pops up and says “The Find a time feature helps you schedule events easily. This brief tour will show you all of the basic features of the Find a time page. Click here to start.” Well then I click “Here” I get this message. “Sorry, we can’t guide you right now. Please try again later.”
Please just post a message that says. “The Find a time feature is currently in maintenance and should be back in XX hours.” I mean if this is just not working then don’t tease me by giving me this great blue button to click and then a modal window and then throw an error. Waste of my time people.
Click the link above to give it a go maybe you have better luck in a 3…10…maybe 24 hours. Who knows.
I just wanted to go ahead and say it. The iPhone 4S is nothing spectacular and I love Apple, but this isn’t the most amazing update to the iPhone line. Don’t get me wrong I see where they’re going with this. It’s the same phone I have in my hand now but a better camera, faster chip set and will run iOS 5 a lot smoother I would imagine. Ok, so it is different technically but I digress. It’s the typical iterative process that Apple does to make their products evolve with the consumer. The one thing I’m juiced about is Siri. It’s not just your regular voice command it’s a freaking HAL 9000 in your pocket.
“What are you doing Dave, Clicking the read more button?”

So my friend Brian (AKA Mr. Nifty and Awesome WordPress Developer) showed we this little web app that is so simple but yet so useful. This application is called WorkFlowy, cute huh? Well basically it’s an app that allows users to quickly craft up a basic textual task flow in an outline format. Surprisingly it’s so easy to use that you can quickly draft up a software application flow with just a few key strokes. I mean at first glance I thought it was silly but after playing with it for a bit it’s actually pretty easy to use. Super easy and simple, give it a try! Did I mention it was free?
When I heard the news yesterday about Steve Jobs resigning as the CEO of Apple I was really sad. We’ve watched one of the most incredible business stories unfold before our eyes when Steve came back to Apple in 1997, which was on the verge of bankruptcy. Then in 14 years he makes Apple one of the most profitable companies in the world. What an incredible business story and what a legacy he leaves on his resignation as CEO of Apple.
I can’t explain how proud I am that I was apart of the original product line when OS X was first released. I am so thankful for you and your innovation because you sir have changed the world forever. Apple will never be the same with out you as the CEO Mr. Jobs. I think you are one of the most intelligent people on this planet and it has been a pleasure to use your companies products. I can only hope to be as intelligent, business savvy and rock a black mock turtle neck like you do. Thank you.
OS X Lion is here and like David in the Lion’s den I am thrilled to be face to face with this Lion. Though I think David was probably about to crap his pants he did have God on his side and us Apple fan boys have Steve Jobs.
I am really enjoying this new version of OS X and it really is exciting to see where the user interface is heading. I really do believe that we’ll see either an iPad with OS X Lion on it or a touch interface iMac, or both! So I want to discuss my top 8 features of OSX Lion that I find useful and well down right awesome.
I just watched this video of Dr. Susan Weinschenk discussing the ROI of user experience. She couldn’t have hit the nail on the head any better. I can’t express how important it is for companies to capture the requirements in the beginning. Communication is key and if you do not know what your building or who your building it for, your ROI on user experience will not be very high.
Thanks to David Ortinau on his tweet for this.
I just had a chance to check out this amazing interactive book called The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore created by Moonbot Studios and lead by ex-Pixar animator William Joyce. This interactive book is so well designed it just get’s me juiced about what is to come with our devices.
This book was created to be a game, puzzle and an engaging story that will have kids entranced for days. This is exactly what Steve Jobs was aiming for with the word “Magical”, because it is.
The app is available for only $4.99 on the iTunes App store. I’m getting it now.
Everybody is talking about the new Social Network that Google has released named Google+ and I’m seeing and hearing all of these mixed feelings about it. I personally love it. Yep…I said it, I really do love Google+. It’s simple, easy to use and the interface is just very clean and minimalistic.
I know that people have been already complaining about the email volume but honestly Facebook can be just as bad. May I remind you the stupid apps that everybody is installing on Facebook? I get so many dumb invites and request that I have a rule set in Gmail to send that shiz straight to the trash. Sorry Uncle Ted, I will not join you in Farmville.
So here are the top 5 reasons I decided to ditch Facebook.
I just wanted to say I’m sorry to the visitors that were on Internet Explorer 7 and 8. I’m really really sorry for the users that are still on IE 6 because I will not support that browser anymore. It’s time to upgrade!
I took a moment today as I had noticed that my website was messed up in IE 7 and 8 because I was using HTML 5 tags like article, header and nav. Those browsers do not render those HTML tags like the updated browsers and I just didn’t create a conditional setup for IE yet. If you are taking a gander at it now then you should see that IE 7-8 should be all good.
Thanks for your patience!
